DC Access was founded in 1999 out of the same frustrations faced by our customers each and every day with the big national internet providers.

Founders Matt and Martha – both with years of experience in technology and telecommunications – wanted better for themselves and their neighbors. DC Access was born to provide Washington, DC with a better choice – one founded in good customer service and reliable connections.

Today, DC Access provides WiFi to residential and commercial customers in several DC neighborhoods and also helps customers around the region cut the cord through Free TV DC.

Matt – Founding Partner

Matt is a founding partner and passionate about technology that simply works. Matt oversees all technical matters of DC Access, including, network expansion and leading our installation and technical service team. Fun fact - Matt comes from a family of horsemen – they race harness horses full time!

Martha, employee of DC Access

Martha – Founding Partner

Martha is a founding partner and oversees all things customer service. Martha is responsible for operations, including marketing, customer service, accounts receivable/payable, human resources and office administration. Martha enjoys photography, running, and doing yoga.

Mike, employee of DC Access


Mike assists with equipment assembly and installations. In his free time, Mike is all about the outdoors - doing landscaping as well as playing paintball, camping, backpacking and canoeing.

Tony, employee of DC Access


Tony is an expert at installing internet and TV for residential single-family homes and small businesses. Tony is a DC native and has been a member of the DC Access team since 2010. When he’s not on your roof or getting you wired, you’ll find him with a fishing rod in hand.

Darnell, employee of DC Access


Darnell grew up in Capitol Hill near Providence Park. He attended University of the District of Columbia and later transferred to Career Technical Institute where he received his Diploma in Microsoft Certified Systems Administration (MCSA). Darnell is CompTIA A+ certified.
