You must have Administrator rights on the
computer you are working on to do most of these configurations, if you
do not have administrator rights please see your Network Administrator.
You will also need to have your Windows NT 4.0 installation disk handy,
as you may be asked for it.

First thing if you have not installed Dial-Up Networking install it by
double clicking on the Dial-Up Networking icon in My Computer.

You will also need to have a functioning modem installed. You can do this
via the Modem icon in Control Panel.

Double click on My Computer on your Windows NT desktop

Double click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.

If you have not created an entry in Dial-Up Networking before you will
not get the screen below, instead you will get:
Just click the "OK" button to add an entry.

Click on the "New..." button to add an entry.

In "Name the new phone book entry" type DC Access.

Leave the "I know phone book entries..." box un-checked.

Click the "Next >" button.

Check "I am calling the Internet."

Check "Send my plain text password if that's the only way to connect."

Leave "The non-Windows NT server ..." box un-checked.

Click the "Next >" button.

Enter a DC Access number in the Phone Number box. (To find access numbers
Click
Here - must be online).

Leave the "Use Telephony ..." box un-checked.

Click on the "Alternates..." button.

In the "New phone number" box, enter other local telephone numbers. (To
find other numbers Click Here).

Check the "Move successful number ..." box.

Click the "OK" button.

Click the "Next >" button on the previous screen.

Click the "Finish" button.

For a new phone book entry you will be asked to enter your user name and
password.

Enter your DC Access user id (along with the @dcaccess.net) in the "User
name" box.

Enter your DC Access password in the "Password" box.

Leave the "Domain" box blank.

Click the "OK" button.
