DC Access: Press Room
Open Park Project
In the Spring of 2004, DC Access was selected as
the provider of choice to design and install the first, free, outdoor
WiFi hot zone in Washington DC. DC Access in conjunction with Open
Park, installed the hot zone that covers the area in front of the
Supreme Court. The goal of the Open Park Project is to offer free
Internet access throughout the National Mall.
In addition to design and installation, DC Access also provides ongoing
Internet backhaul for the Open Park Supreme Court location.
