About DC Access, LLC

DC Access is a wireless Internet service provider serving the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC. Founded and located on Capitol Hill, DC Access prides itself on the responsibility of being a Hill neighbor. Our clients enjoy the convenience and accessibility of our wireless and web-based services as well as personal and committed customer service. At DC Access we provide local, affordable, and friendly Internet.

Our History
In 1999, CEO Matt Wade was a computer-programming consultant frustrated with his Internet service provider. Interruptions in service, slow speed and even slower response from call-center customer service staff prompted Wade to found the company. DC Access offers the benefits of high-speed broadband with a distinguished reputation for providing reliable, affordable service.
Today, DC Access serves hundreds of residential and commercial clients throughout Capitol Hill.

Our Company
Matt Wade managing partner and CEO of DC Access founded the company in 1999 as Washington’s first and only wireless Internet service provider. Before founding DC Access, Wade served as a computer programmer with Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) and as an independent consultant and has 14 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Wade holds bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from Duke University.

Martha Huizenga, partner, is responsible for DC Access marketing and operations. Huizenga has more than 14 years of telecommunications experience with emphasis on OSS systems and billing. Before joining DC Access, she held several senior positions at MCI and Kenan Systems Corporation in product development as well as a partner position at TeleCon, LLC and positions at Vibrant Solutions in marketing and sales. Huizenga has a master’s degree in accounting from Roosevelt University and bachelor’s degrees in business administration and physical education from Cornell College. Huizenga is an amateur photographer and published online at www.mhuizenga.com.

An avid proponent of the smart growth and sustainment of small business on Capitol Hill, DC Access active member of the Capitol Hill Association of Merchants and Professionals (CHAMPS). Huizenga serves as the CHAMPS board Vice-President and Co-Chair of the Communications Committee.
